  • What type of questions and answers are on the test?
  • What does the test measure?
  • What subjects are tested?
  • How is the test scored?
  • How many questions?
  • Is there a time limit?
  • What can I use while taking the test? (a calculator, for example)

Step 2: Take practice tests

  • Practice tests help you determine your baseline, and which areas will need more time
  • Take practice tests at regular intervals

  • Find current study materials at the library, or
  • invest in a test prep course

calendarStep 4: Study daily

  • Start studying well in advance of the test
  • Make sure you have a space set aside for studying
  • Find a study routine that works for you
  • Set a specific time to study without interruptions 
  • When frustration, boredom or lack of focus sets in, move on to something else
