EBSCO Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for 35 national (U.S.) and international newspapers. (1995-present)

ProQuest Newspapers provides full text access to over 85 newspapers, including the New York Times. Coverage varies, generally starting in the 1980s or 1990s to present.

Other primary sources

The Digital Library of Georgia, is a great source for primary sources related to Georgia. There are several ways to search their collections, including time period.

American Memory at the Library of congress includes primary sources, images, maps, posters, sound recordings and more.

Also check out American Memory Images, which consists entirely of prints and photographs.
