E-books: Why create an account?

Creating an account (it's free!) allows you to take advantage of extra features such as annotating, notes, and adding books to your bookshelf. Also, if you plan to download a book then you need an account.

Ebsco

To create a personal account:

  1. Log into EBSCOhost and click the “Sign In” link along the top of the page.
  2. Click “Create a new Account.”
  3. Enter the relevant information and remember your Username and Password.
  4. Use your new Username and Password to log in to My EBSCOhost.

Logging into Ebsco Ebooks allows you to create permanent folders, and to take and save notes.

 

Proquest

To create a personal account:

  1. Log into eBook Central and click the “Sign In” link along the top of the page.
  2. Click “Create Account.”
  3. Enter the relevant information and remember your Username and Password.
  4. Use your new Username and Password to log in to eBook Central

In eBook Central, sign in to highlight, annotate, and bookmark. You can see your annotations, etc. by clicking the star.

Your books are saved to your virtual bookshelf to which will remain even if you log off.
