Radiologic Technology: How-Tos

What is a scholarly journal/article?

How do I find one?

  • Limit your search to peer-reviewed sources by checking a box on the search screen,  when searching for articles in certain interfaces (GALILEOEBSCO, etc).
  • Visit the journal's webpage for editorial statement or instructions to authors for references to the peer-review process.
  • If the print journal is available, read through the editorial statement or instructions to authors for references to the peer-review process.

Citations found in GALILEO are often inaccurate and must be edited. If the article has a DOI (digital object identifier), use that number instead of the URL. If there is no DOI, use the URL and the date of access (Accessed: date). Do not include the database name. Do not include [serial online].
