ISCET has helped train, prepare, and test technicians in the electronics and appliance service industry for over thirty years. The Certified Electronics Technician (CET) Program is designed to measure the degree of theoretical knowledge and technical proficiency of practicing technicians. The voluntary certification concept enables employers to separate knowledgeable job applicants from those with less training and skills.

NICEE provides an independent evaluation of technical knowledge and experience, through certification, among those working in the fields of engineering and engineering technology; define and support career paths for engineering technicians, and engineering technologists and related disciplines; and ensure recognition and continued professional development of certified individuals.
